table()

Tables

table() is a MATLAB®-compatible tables function for matlab dataframe-style data structure with named columns. construct from column arrays; columns can be numeric, char, cell of strings, etc. access columns via t.varname. Run it online in your browser with SimLab — free, no install, no license required.

MATLAB DataFrame-style data structure with named columns. Construct from column arrays; columns can be numeric, char, cell of strings, etc. Access columns via t.varName.

Syntax

t = table()
t = table(col1, col2, ...)
t = table(col1, col2, 'VariableNames', {'x', 'y'})

Examples — run table() in your browser

t = table([1;2;3], [4;5;6], 'VariableNames', {'x','y'})
▶ Run

Limitations

Row indexing t(i,:) and cell indexing t{i,j} not yet supported (engine subscript-dispatch limitation). Use head(t,n)/tail(t,n) for first/last rows. readtable/writetable, outer joins, reshape ops (pivot/unstack), and timetable are out of scope.

What does table() do?

MATLAB DataFrame-style data structure with named columns. Construct from column arrays; columns can be numeric, char, cell of strings, etc. Access columns via t.varName. It is a MATLAB®-compatible tables function available in SimLab with the same calling syntax as MATLAB® — typically: t = table().

Can I run table() in my browser?

Yes. Open SimLab at simulations4all.com/simlab, write or paste code that calls table(), and run it. Execution happens locally in your browser — no data leaves your machine.
