- Technical environment: General browser, operating system, device, screen, language, timezone, network, and capability information needed to make simulations and interactive tools work well across different environments.
- Approximate location and security signals: Coarse location inferred from network information, server request details, bot/abuse indicators, and infrastructure logs used for security, debugging, and traffic quality.
- Site and feature usage: Pages visited, navigation patterns, search/filter usage, clicks on important controls, form progress, downloads, outbound link clicks, and similar interaction signals.
- Simulation, learning, and product usage: Which simulations, courses, tools, AI Tutor features, quizzes, examples, or product pages are opened or used; progress, completion, saves/favorites, feedback, and similar engagement signals.
- Performance and quality: Page speed, Web Vitals, API timing, resource loading, errors, crashes, compatibility issues, and other diagnostics that help us keep the site and simulations reliable.
- Cookies and similar technologies: We may use cookies, local storage, session storage, and similar technologies to remember preferences, support analytics, maintain sessions, and improve the user experience.

13. Simulations, Tools, AI Tutor, and SimLab Analytics
When you use simulations, professional tools, AI Tutor, and SimLab, we collect analytics to improve the platform:
- Collected: Tool/simulation load and interaction events, control and parameter names, value buckets, action types, run/solve/play/pause/reset events, selected tabs or panels, export/share/save actions, function names called in SimLab, execution timing, module usage, file import sizes, AI Tutor open events, prompt category and length, error messages or stack summaries truncated for safety, browser capability, and session duration.
- Not intentionally collected: SimLab source code, dataset content, private files, passwords, authentication tokens, or raw parameter/input values when a bucketed or summarized value is enough. IP addresses are hashed and not stored in plaintext in activity events.
- Purpose: Improve simulations, SimLab features, AI Tutor quality, learning content, search, performance, reliability, and infrastructure planning.
- Retention: Analytics events are automatically deleted after 90 days.
- Opt-out: You can disable first-party analytics for this browser. All core features continue to work, though we may still collect information needed for security, debugging, legal compliance, or account operations.
