containers()

Containers

containers() is a MATLAB®-compatible containers function for matlab containers namespace. currently exposes containers.map (key→value dictionary). construct with key/value cell arrays, or empty + populate via m.put(key, value). Run it online in your browser with SimLab — free, no install, no license required.

MATLAB containers namespace. Currently exposes containers.Map (key→value dictionary). Construct with key/value cell arrays, or empty + populate via m.put(key, value).

Syntax

m = containers.Map()
m = containers.Map(keys, values)
m = containers.Map('KeyType', T, 'ValueType', T)

Examples — run containers() in your browser

m = containers.Map({'a','b','c'}, {1, 2, 3});
▶ Run
v = m.get('a');
▶ Run
m.put('d', 4);
▶ Run

Limitations

Paren-call syntax m(key) and m(key) = value not supported — use m.get(key) / m.put(key, value). KeyType / ValueType arguments accepted but not enforced.

Frequently Asked Questions about containers()

Is the containers() function free to use in SimLab?

Yes. SimLab is 100% free — no signup, no license, and no usage limits. You can run containers() and 510+ other MATLAB®-compatible functions directly in your browser at simulations4all.com/simlab.

Do I need to install MATLAB to use containers()?

No. SimLab runs entirely in your web browser with zero installation. The containers() function works without any MATLAB® license or software download.

What does containers() do?

MATLAB containers namespace. Currently exposes containers.Map (key→value dictionary). Construct with key/value cell arrays, or empty + populate via m.put(key, value). It is a MATLAB®-compatible containers function available in SimLab with the same calling syntax as MATLAB® — typically: m = containers.Map().

Can I run containers() in my browser?

Yes. Open SimLab at simulations4all.com/simlab, write or paste code that calls containers(), and run it. Execution happens locally in your browser — no data leaves your machine.
